Sean Lewis is speaking with nationally-recognized expert Norton Tooby on the complex nuances of obtaining post-conviction relief. This session will cover the implications of Padilla v. Kentucky for obtaining post-conviction relief for immigrants on grounds of ineffective assistance of counsel as well as avoiding such claims by covering the immigration consequences of criminal convictions. This course is recommended for judges and prosecutors as well as criminal defense counsel and has nationwide application.
